Sussex Police officers have tweeted that a controlled explosion of a wartime artefact has been carried out in Haywards Heath.
The message was posted on Twitter just before midday today (Wednesday) with an accompanying photograph of a white Royal Logistic Corps van parked adjacent to open ground.
The tweet from @hheath_police said: “A controlled explosion of a wartime artefact has been carried out by EOD in Bolnore Rd, Haywards Heath”.

Coincidentally, Bolnore Road is where Haywards Heath Police Station is situated at the junction with Muster Green and Butler’s Green Road.
