SHOREHAM firefighters have had to deal with a second unattended bonfire in the space of two weeks.
A large unattended bonfire in Upper Kingston Lane, Shoreham, was reported in the early hours.
Shoreham firefighters attended at 4.43am today and, following an inspection, reduced the bonfire using a pitch fork, drag rakes and water.
They then allowed the bonfire to burn out and stayed at the scene until 5.39am.
A crew from Shoreham had previously dealt with an unsupervised bonfire in Old Shoreham Road, Shoreham on July 25.
