Enjoy the sights and sounds of a summer’s night in the Sussex countryside and discover more about its nocturnal inhabitants.
On Wednesday August 14, walkers on a guided circular ramble along a three mile section of the Downs Link will find out about rarely seen creatures such as bats and glow worms.
It’s also the best time of year to spot meteors – debris from the tail of a comet that burns up as it enters the earth’s atmosphere.
The walk starts at 8pm at the Downs Link car park on Upper Station Road in Henfield and costs £3 per person. Booking is essential.
