A £500 grant to provide sensory activity toys for Angmering based ‘Tots in Tow’ has been agreed by Eastern Arun County Local Committee (CLC).
Grants totalling £4,000 were agreed by the Committee, at a meeting of the Joint Eastern Arun Area Committee on Tuesday (March 6).
The grants were:
‘Tots in Tow’ Angmering, £500 granted towards the replacement and provision of new sensory activity toys.
4Sight, £167 granted towards design and print costs for Learn4sight packs.
East Preston Festival Committee, £250 towards the purchase and installation of a community notice board.
Girl Guiding East Preston and Angmering District, £1,550 towards upgrading the current headquarters, to be used by Guides and other community groups.
Friends of Peter Smith Scout Hall, £1,550 towards an upgrade of facilities, including the installation of a disabled toilet.
Chairman of the CLC Graham Tyler said: “Over the past year we’ve allocated some £22,000 to deserving local causes and organisations.
“The new round of funding is available from April onwards, and I would encourage local organisations to apply if they have a worthwhile project coming up that they need support for.”
