LAST Sunday it was the turn of the Steyning Tea Rooms to host their Oxfam breakfast.
They are the second venue to take part in the event which combines breakfast and fundraising for Oxfam.
There are now four more eateries left each weekend of the Steyning Food Festival to hold the morning foodie fundraisers.
These include the Sussex Produce Café on Sunday, September 15, Springwells on Sunday, September 22, Chez Joel on Saturday, September 28, and the Chequer Inn on Saturday, October 5, all on the High Street.
Owner of Chez Joel, Sarah Harris, said: “Our menu for the breakfast is a croissant or pain au chocolat with a glass of orange juice, followed by a breakfast which consists of sausage, bacon, mushrooms, beans, tomato and toast with a coffee or tea. We are looking forward to it. It intends to bring the community together and is a great idea to raise a little money for Oxfam. We feel honoured to have been asked to take part.
“I think the Steyning Festival is wonderful. It should make more people come to Steyning and support our High Street shops.”
