A NEW art venture is launching in Shoreham.
he adurArtcollective Artists and Makers Fair 2013 will be at St Mary’s Hall, in East Street, on Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 6pm.
Featuring more than 30 members’ work, it is a new venture for the volunteer-led group, which, for the past three years, has organised and funded Adur Art Trail.
Chairman Kim Adele Fuller said: ”We had such an enthusiastic and positive response to the Centrepiece exhibition, held in St Mary’s Hall during Adur Festival, that we felt it would be a good idea to organise another event this year.
“This is our first Artists and Makers Fair but if it is successful, we hope to be able to make it a regular event.”
Entrance is free to see a wide range of work from adurArtcollective members – paintings, prints, cards, calendars, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, glass and jewellery.
There will be the opportunity to meet the artists and purchase original work, with everything available to buy.
Preparations are already underway for next year’s Art Trail, which will run from May 31 to June 15. The collective welcomes enquiries from anyone interested in being part of this community event, either as an exhibiting artist or as a venue for one or more artists.
