Police investigating a street robbery in Victoria Road, Worthing, at about 10.30am on Sunday (November 11), are still appealing for the victims to come forward.
A man was seen to snatch a bag from a woman, aged about 55 and wearing a purple coat, who was with a man with grey hair.
Two men intervened and the bag was retrieved and returned to the woman.
A 23-year-old man from Worthing has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on bail until 12 December.
Detective Sergeant Colin O’Hare said: “We are appealing for the victim and the man who was with her to come forward so we can speak to them and take statements. We have traced witnesses. If anyone knows who this couple are please contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 0490 of 11/11.”
