Sunday November 18, 10am: Meet at Counters Gate car park, Goodwood Country Park SU898113. An Autumnal look at the Drovers Estate, 9½ miles. A remote and undulating walk on downland either side of the Lavant Valley that also follows the river through three picturesque villages. Hilly in places. Dogs welcome on a lead. Sunday November 18, 10am: Meet at Dial Post village hall, TQ155195. Dial Post: Low Weald in Winter, 4 miles. A newly ‘wilded’ landscape, part of the Burrell estate, this walk seemingly takes us back to a medieval landscape, wildlife and mud! Leader: Geoffrey Mead, Sussex University.

Tuesday November 20, 10am: Meet in Kings Head car park (RH12 3EB, TQ091343). Rudgwick going east. Excellent views. A mostly flat circular walk towards Rowhook through woods and fields along the southern slope of the border ridge between Sussex and Surrey and back via Hermongers to the pub where Guiseppe will make us most welcome with his array of £6.50 two-course specials.
