Two teenagers were robbed of their phones while in a park in Crawley on Tuesday (November 13) at 8pm.
The 16 and a 15-year-old boys walked along the footpath between Lavington Close and Rusper Road and into Ifield Park when they were approached by a man wearing a blue bandana covering his face who threatened them with a knife.
The victims handed over their mobile phones to the suspect who ran out of the park up Rusper Road and Hyde Drive.
DC Sue Maccallum-Stewart said: “The victims were understandably shaken by the incident but uninjured.
“We are appealing for witnesses to come forward who were in or near the park at the time and saw a man wearing a bandana in the area.
“He is described as about 18-years-old, Asian, 5ft 6in, wearing a black coat with the hood up, a blue bandana with a white pattern over his face. He was also wearing black trousers and grey Nike trainers with a blue tick.
